Ukraine to buy 450 mcm of gas from intl trader in early 2020

KIEV, Sep 17 (PRIME) -- Ukrainian energy holding Naftogaz Ukrainy has signed an agreement with an international trader to purchase 450 million cubic meters of gas in January–March 2020, the company said in a statement on Tuesday without disclosing the trader.

The company is also considering several more proposals of large European traders on gas supplies in 2020 and will use them in case of commercial viability.

“We have done quality work to prepare to the heating season, pumped additional volumes of gas into storages, prepared the system to work without transit, contracted physical volumes of gas that do not depend on actions of Gazprom,” the company said quoting Director for Integrated Gas Business Andrei Favorov.
